It’s practically unwritten law in OCNJ that if you go past Oves at 4th and the Boardwalk, you have to get one (or a dozen) of their hot, fresh apple cider donuts.
Oves has been in OC since the dawn of time. Well, 1968 to be exact. That’s when Tom Oves Sr. decided to retire from the Ocean City Beach Patrol and start a family business. Today, Oves is still family run with the same goal of serving delicious food with awesome service.
Oves melds traditional breakfast menu options (think eggs, waffles, pancakes), with some modern essentials like avocado toast, smoothies, and cold brew coffee. Old school enthusiasts should try the cream chipped beef, cereal and milk, or any of the omelets. Don’t forget a donut to cap off the experience.
For lunch and dinner, there are burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, and of course, Oves famous fresh seafood dishes like the homemade Chesapeake Bay crab cake. Pro tip – you can get it as a meal for dinner or as a sandwich for lunch.
Oves sits right on the Boardwalk facing the beach, which is just steps away. You can order online, and their private party room on the second floor is available to book in season.
