The Crab Trap
Description
Set along the bay on historic Somerset Plantation — once home to original settler John Somers — The Crab Trap has been welcoming diners just outside Ocean City for nearly six decades. Located only a few buildings from the bridge, this waterfront landmark has been serving award- winning food since 1967 and remains a favorite among locals and visitors alike. On any summer evening, the scene says it all: glowing lights, full tables, and guests enjoying great food and conversation.
Opened by the Wallace family as a small local tavern, The Crab Trap continues to
thrive today with the same commitment to quality and hospitality. Known for its consistent food and family-friendly service, the restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and cocktails daily. While seafood is a highlight, guests also love the daily-roasted prime rib, steaks, and pasta dishes. The nautical-themed bar offers live music year-round and expertly crafted drinks made with fresh-
squeezed juice. In season, Crabby Jack’s outdoor deck bar provides a relaxed spot for lunch, small plates, and specialty cocktails overlooking the Great Egg Harbor Bay.
