What’s Happening- September

EVEN though it’s just about the off season, the fun in the sun isn’t over yet! Second summer beach days are some of the best of the year. These next two months offer many fundraising events, firework shows, delicious food, car shows, the air show, and the Fall Block Party.

Katina’s, 501 East 9th Street, has become Capo Strada. They will be serving Italian street food.
The Islander will be closing after 46 years on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

SEPTEMBER EVENTS
The Labor Day Race is a five mile beach run or one mile fun run/walk on September 5 at 9am.
Street Rod Weekend rolls onto the Boardwalk from 12- 4pm on September 10. The Corvette Show is the next day- September 11 from 11:30am-4pm on the Boardwalk.
The Airport Festival is September 17 from 10am-3pm.
The Walk to Defeat ALS kicks off at 10am on September 17.

OCTOBER EVENTS
Table sales return on October 1, 2, 8, 9, and 10 on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
Jeep jeep! The Jeep Invasion is on the Boardwalk October 1.
The Ocean City Half Marathon, 10 miler, and 5k is on October 2.
The Fall Block Party is October 8 from 9am-5pm from 5th-14th Street on Asbury Avenue. Fireworks will be launched over the Ocean City Boardwalk later that evening.
The Porsche Boardwalk Reunion is on October 15 from 11:30am-4pm on the Boardwalk from 6th-14th Streets.
The John R. Elliot HERO Walk and 5k Run will be held on October 16 at the Ocean City Boardwalk.
Dog Day and the “Howl-O-Ween” parade are on October 22. Dog Day allows leashed pooches to walk on the Ocean City Boardwalk with entertainment and more fun.
The Halloween Parade will be held on October 27 at 7:15pm on Downtown Asbury Avenue from 6th-11th Streets.
