Jingle Jingle – It’s the November issue of OC Magazine!

OC Mag November issue

Welcome to the November issue of Ocean City Magazine!

Old Blue Eyes was onto something.
Sid Mark’s “Sundays with Sinatra” was a thing in my house growing up. My dad Joe listened to it without fail, so it was background music for the last day of the week. I’d listen to that velvety voice singing lyrics like this one:
“The best is yet to come and babe, won’t that be fine?
You think you’ve seen the sun, but you ain’t seen it shine…
A-Wait till the warm-up’s underway
Wait till our lips have met
And wait till you see that sunshine day
You ain’t seen nothin’ yet”

And somehow as I watched the 60 Minutes clock tick down, I believed the guy – maybe the best was yet to come.
Now as we turn the calendar from 2024 to 2025, it’s been 30 years since Sid Mark played his favorites, but the memories have flooded back. Reflecting back on these past 12 months, there have been losses (bye Gillian’s Wonderland Pier) and wins (hello rare aurora borealis). But it doesn’t matter if you’ve had a banner year or one that you’d just as soon forget, remember, Frank’s advice is the same.
The best is yet to come.

Inside this issue

In the November issue of OC Magazine, we hope you see lots of things you “ain’t” seen yet. Explore local area hikes from Cape May up to Atlantic County, get inspired by local gifting experiences, and make the most of the season without breaking the bank.
Our local columnists have killer content in our last issue of the year. From Brandon Smith’s Go Fish, to Amy Mahon’s Sunday Girl Eats recipe, there is something in these pages to inspire, motivate and create for everyone. Linda Arceo embraces the season with her version of the classic coquito cocktail – with a pumpkin twist. Fred Miller takes us back to OCNJ in 1964 in the It’s History column and Kristen Dowd gets up close to royalty with an interview with Taylor Mulford, the new Miss Ocean City. And there’s so much more to discover inside.
“You think you’ve flown before, but baby, you ain’t left the ground”
See you next year!
