Art News in Ocean City

(Through January) The Ocean City FINE ARTS LEAGUE, “Art on Asbury” 608 Asbury Ave., will present its JUDGES SHOW, work displayed at exhibits during 2015 that the Judges have declared outstanding. (January 4-30) The artwork of Ocean City resident, Carla Migliaccio will be on display at the OCEAN CITY ARTS CENTER, 17th and Simpson Ave. Carla was head custodian at the primary school for 25 years. While there she painted a number of murals that were enthusiastically received. She studied with numerous local artists but says her true mentor was the late James N. Pulvino, the revered head of the High School’s art department. In addition to painting murals, Carla has painted eight traffic boxes in Ocean City working with the Community Arts Project.
