Aquatic and Fitness Center increases their offerings
The holidays are a busy time of year. With a flurry of activity also comes the cold weather. If you’re looking to workout indoors without freezing, the Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue, is offering indoor classes, swimming lessons, and open swim during the holiday season.
Swimming lessons and inside classes were added back to the schedule for November and are continuing into December. Masks are mandatory when not in the pool.
“We’re offering some swim lessons and some inside classes,” says Lisa Rumer, supervisor at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
Indoor classes are held in the Music Pier. Examples of classes that are being held are Barre, Cycle, Zumba, Pilates, and Restorative/ Chair Yoga.
Members can go online to sign up for classes using Community Pass.
The Aquatic and Fitness Center will be closed on Christmas Day but open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The new schedule has been out since November 2. So far, it seems to be going well.
“I hope that we continue to offer what we’re offering. We want to keep going forward,” Lisa said.
