The 100th Issue of Ocean City Magazine – August 2026

One hundred issues. Typing that out still feels like a dream.
Back in 2010, this magazine was just an idea – that Ocean City wanted something it didn’t quite have yet: a print magazine that felt like it belonged here, made by people who loved this town as much as the people reading it. We didn’t have a big rollout plan. We had a stack of ideas, a lot of optimism, and a town that, as it turned out, was ready to lift us up.
What I remember most from those early days isn’t the hustle of putting together that first issue – it’s how quickly Ocean City said yes. Shop owners who were stoked to tell their stories with us. Readers who picked us up off a Boardwalk counter and actually came back the next month. Advertisers who signed on early and helped this thing get off the ground and are still with us all these years later. That kind of welcome doesn’t happen everywhere and it’s a big part of why we’re still here.
A hundred issues later, so much has changed – the magazine has grown, the town has grown, and we’ve grown up right along with it. But some things haven’t changed at all. Many of the same staff and advertisers who believed in us on day one are still with us today, which says more about this town and this team than any of us could put into words. What also hasn’t changed is the reason we started: Ocean City and its surrounding community deserves to have its stories told well, by people who love it here.
I want to use this milestone to show gratitude to you, our readers who keep picking us up month after month, to the local businesses who supported us with partnerships over the years – many of you are now friends, to the contributors who pour their knowledge and voice into these pages, and to this town, who embraced this magazine from early on and has shaped everything it’s become. I thank you all deeply.
