Ocean City High School Crew Ranked #6 Nationally: Women’s Varsity 8 Eyes 2026 Championship
Ocean City, NJ, April, 2026 — The Ocean City High School Crew team has earned national recognition, with its Women’s Varsity 8 ranked #6 in the United States in the latest RBTN Power Rankings (April 13, 2026).
The ranking places Ocean City among the top high school rowing programs in the country, highlighting a dominant start to the 2026 season.
The nationally ranked Varsity 8 includes:
Harper Petitgout, Aubrey Schlembach, Jada Smith, Victoria Sakhno, Margot Swift, Marina Zappone, Marin Pearce, Kailyn Kelly, and Reese Hemberger.
“This ranking reflects the commitment and work ethic of this group,” said head coach Colin Stewart. “But our focus is on what’s ahead.”
Ocean City High School Crew 2026 Schedule and Upcoming Regattas
The team now enters a critical stretch of major regattas across the Mid-Atlantic, including state, city, and national-level competition:
- May 2–3 – City Championships (Philadelphia)
- May 10 – Mother’s Day Regatta (New Jersey)
- May 15–16 – Stotesbury Cup Regatta (Philadelphia)
Strong performances in these events will determine seeding and momentum heading into national competition.
Road to Nationals: Ocean City Eyes Championship Run
With a top-10 national ranking, Ocean City Crew is positioning itself for a potential National Championship appearance in Tennessee later this season.
As excitement builds, the program will also invite the Ocean City community to participate by helping name the Varsity 8 boat.
