Caramel Apple Moscow Mule
September means back-to-school, apple season and the autumnal equinox. As we transition from summer to fall, so do our cocktails. The Caramel Apple Moscow Mule is a delicious twist on the classic Moscow Mule, but with the fun fall flavors of a caramel apple.
Serves 2
- 3 oz caramel-flavored vodka
- 6 oz fresh apple cider, chilled
- ½ lime, squeezed
- Diced apple chunks
- 1 or 2 bottles of ginger beer
- 2 cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
- 2 apple slices (for garnish)
In a cocktail shaker, combine caramel-flavored vodka, apple cider, lime juice and diced apple chunks. Shake well.
Fill two copper mugs with ice. Divide the prepared cocktail mixture evenly between the two mugs. Top each mug with chilled ginger beer (I like Crabbie’s) until filled to the top.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an apple slice. Serve immediately.
Good to Know
If you can’t find ginger beer, you can use traditional ginger ale.
