On Guard

The Ocean City and Somers Point communities are hoping for a peaceful protest at 1pm, but are prepping just in case.

The peaceful protest is planned to begin at the base of the 9th Street Bridge in Somers Point and continue over into Ocean City, ending at 9th and the Boardwalk.

A walk around the island in late morning, showed business owners standing outside their establishments – in an effort to protect their shops/buildings. Some said they were just going to be there – out front – standing guard so to speak – though almost everyone said they were expecting the demonstration to stay peaceful.
