Prom Weekend is Upon Us!

Only one week is left before Memorial Day Weekend, which means Prom is happening at the Flander’s Hotel this weekend. 

Here’s what’s happening in Ocean City before and after the prom:

Ocean City High School Prom Red Carpet: (May 20) Flander’s Hotel, 11th Street and Ocean Avenue. Ocean City High School students arrive in style for the red carpet at the Flander’s Hotel. Come watch elegant, elaborate and even wacky entrances as the students arrive for the night of their lives. 6:30pm. Bleachers will be available for spectators.

Pieces of Eight Treasure Hunt (May 20 & 21) Ocean City Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Bring your metal detector to compete in a treasure hunt for fantastic rewards! Saturday Hunt is 8am-4pm, Sunday Hunt is 8am-3pm. $20 entry for adults and $5 entry for kids 13 and younger. Loaner detectors are available for use. Ocean City Triathalon/Duathalon (May 21) Come out to Haven and West Avenue to support those entered in the Ocean City Triathalon and Duathalon! Following a pool swim at the Aquatic Center at 1735 Simpson Ave, athletes will be biking and running all over Ocean City. The first run will be on the boardwalk from St. James’ Place to 12th Street. 2nd-53rd streets on West Avenue will be feature a biking course, and Haven Avenue from 2nd-22nd streets will have runners completing a second running course.
