Fall Block Party and Fireworks!
On October 11, The Ocean City FALL BLOCK PARTY will feature over 400 crafters. It is held in the City’s Award Winning Downtown, recently voted number one in South Jersey by the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium. In a statewide poll, Ocean City received more votes than any downtown in the entire State.
The event is held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and extends from 5th to 14th Streets on Asbury Ave. In addition to the crafters, there will be food vendors, music and free pony rides for children. The downtown, where the block party is held, includes over 100 specialty stores and many popular restaurants.
Free entertainment is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be free pony rides for children at the Tabernacle grounds, 6th and Asbury Ave. plus Balloons with Chad Juros. The Big Daddy Band will play at 6th St., Robert Boney Band at 7th St., Tony DeLuca at 9th St., Tidal Wave Band at 10th St., the Bubba Mac Blues Band at 13th St. and Keith Hickman at 14th St.
NOTE: Parking will be free on City lots and all meters.
Boardwalk stores will be open and in the evening there will be a spectacular FIREWORKS DISPLAY at 9:30 p.m. There will be SEAFOOD VENDORS Oct. 11-13 in front of the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace as part of the City’s Indian Summer Weekend plus Boardwalk and Downtown Table sales.
